Shteev's New Quest: Chapter 5 -League Of Their Own“Official Pokemon League Post”I didn't know what to do. I'd gotten mail from the Pokemon League before, but only for becoming Champion those few times. From what I can recall, I've been home for the past few months, so unless I was sleep training again, chances are this was for something else. But what?I slowly tore open the seal on the envelope. I pulled the message from the remains and unfolded it. On the top left was the official stamp, and on the right, a bright gold logo of a Pokeball.“Congratulations, Trainer!Due to your multiple Championship status, we've selected you to participate in a very special event. For the last 3 years, the region of Rikan has been developing their very own Pokemon League, and we're excited to announce that next year, it will finally be open to the public. All eight gym leaders have been specially chosen based on type, and the Elite Four have been appointed for when the League gets put into motion. Here's where you come in, STEPHEN
Shteev's New Quest: Chapter 4 - Glory DazeI haven't battled in what seems like forever. Holding onto that Pokeball, looking deep into my friends eyes, I wasn't sure I'd be able to prove my point; I was never sure. "Just keep battling" someone told me once, and they were right. Whether you win or lose, you showed you were at least willing to prove yourself, and that's exactly what I'd do here.We stood the standard amount of space away from each other, and Anthony threw his Poke ball. Out popped a Kadabra, an off-orange, moustached creature of the Psychic typing. For my Pokemon, I chose Haunter: A long-time personal friend of mine that I caught in Kanto's Pokemon Tower before it got turned into a broadcasting station. He's stuck with me through it all, and I'm glad to have him around.A lot of Pokemon have come and go in my time. Some I've released, others stay in my Computer when I need them... But some will always have a special bond with me.Charmander was my first starter ever, and he's now a Charizard. Haunter I met along
Shteev's New Quest: Chapter 3 - Oh, Brother...I look out the window and see my brother and sister batting outside. My brother Scott with his Pikachu doing a very poor job against my sister Rose with her Tangela...[Have I taught you nothing?]My other brother, Anthony, who's younger than the other two siblings, is waiting for his turn. He's got a Pokemon I handed down to him, a Litwick I caught on my venture through Unova. Pokemon from that region are seldom seen around here, so he treats it as a major award.I strap on my training belt, put on a better training shirt, and head downstairs to the backyard.“Alright, stop that. You're embarrassing me from upstairs.” I say, sternly.Scott turned red and started with the excuses..“She had the first turn! Her monster is stronger than mine! Her Pokemon's faster!” he spouted, as I shook my head dismissively.I couldn't help but feel responsible. Maybe instead of sulking in my room, I should have been teaching these kids the things they'd need to know if they ever
Shteev's New Quest: Chapter 2 - King Nothing“So, you're claiming the fire Pokemon, Charmander?”, said Hemlock, as if foreseeing the hard time I'd have in the near future.“Yeah...” I replied. I never was much of a talker. Actions speak louder than words, I'd always heard. I'm fairly sure I heard him giggle as he juggled the Poke ball for a while, finally handing it to me in jest. “Rock on, lil' guy.” he'd say.If only someone had told me that Brock would be the first gym I'd have to face. I can't imagine how many other kids just like me chose Charmander, only to give up or get frustrated having traveled all the way to Pewter City from home.I live in Rikan. The perfect cross-roads between anywhere else in the world. I live within flying distance of Johto, but I've only known a few people to start their journey there. See, up until a few years ago, our region didn't even have a Pokemon League. No one felt the need to build gyms or anything, as it'd only bring in more tourists, and possibly ruin
